The 18 chapters cover the different protective issues and problems associated with a synchronous generator and present the corresponding practices. One of the main concerns has been to present as many different protection approaches as possible so as to reflect the existing international philosophies. Another concern has been to present systematically the impact of digital technology on the different generator protection functions.
