Guidelines for the management of risk associated with severe climatic events and climate change on overhead lines

This TB provides guidelines and reference for overhead line network owners, operators, and designers for the appropriate management of risk associated with the severe climatic eventsand climatic change impacts on overhead lines. Many older lines were not designed for the more severe events and consequently failure of these will continue to occur or possibly increase with emerging climate change effects. Climatic change impacts and scenarios for risk management response are presented.
