The increasing amount of fluctuating wind energy will change the planning and operation methods for transmission and distribution systems significantly. The TB describes this challenge and presents solutions for different countries. It is focused on the following topics: power flow control and contingency management, influence on the conventional generation, frequency control, grid stability, reactive power and voltage control.
