Integration of Electric Vehicles in Electric Power Systems

Deployment of Electric Vehicles (Evs) may lead to important impacts in future power system operation due to the extra amount of power demanded to charge EV batteries. To mitigate these problems, adequate recharging strategies must exist. This report addresses the following main topics: a) key drivers for the electric mobility; b) future EV deployment scenarios and market and business models; c) Evs management and control solutions for Evs charging; d) standardization of technologies and technical requirements.
