Characterisation of ELF Magnetic Fields
In the context of human exposure, extremely low frequencies (ELF) magnetic field levels cannot be adequately characterized by a single figure. Taking into account that the magnetic field is a time varying three-dimensional vector depending mainly on the load currents flowing in the power systems, the guide presents a list and a description of the most important parameters (mainly statistical parameters) that are needed for characterizing the magnetic field together with representative statistical ratios between some of the parameters.
