Guideline on the Impacts of Fault Current Limiting Devices on Protection System
WG A3.16 focuses on the interaction between fault current limiting (FCL) technologies, both existing and novel, and different protection systems in MV and HV. A set of criteria are derived to qualify the potential impact of each type of FCL on the various protection principles. Basis for this investigation are the FCL characteristics as defined in TB 239 (WG A3.10).
