Status of Development and Field Test Experience with High-Temperature Superconducting Power Equipment

Superconducting and Insulating Materials for HTS Power Applications and HTS Power System Equipment is making rapid progress in recent years. The TB introduces and discusses worldwide field-test experiences and state-of-the-art HTS power applications (cables, rotating machines, fault cur-rent limiters and magnetic energy storage). State-of-the-art of HTS material as well as the role of electrical insulation atcryogenic temperatures are discussed too.
