Market design for large scale integration of intermittent renewable energy sources

As the share of electricity generated from intermittent renewables gets significant, power markets must be redesigned to take into account the technical and economic specificities of these new resources. This TB reviews and analyses the different market arrangements that have been, or could be, implemented worldwide to connect renewables while ensuring both their development and safe operation of the power systems.
