Education, Qualification and Continuing Professional Development of Engineers in Protection and Control
The smart grid, the development that designates future modernization and digitalization of the grid and increased penetration of sensing, data processing, computational capabilities, communication options and visualization enhancements, has opened new challenges that the workforce responsible for control and protection, as well as other so called substation secondary systems will face into the future. The scope of this working group report include a thorough discussion of all issues related to training and education of protection and control engineers, and offers guidelines and recommendations.
