TSO-DSO Co-Operation Control Centre Tools Requirements

This Technical Brochure is the result of work undertaken by CIGRE Working Group C2.40. It discusses the operational challenges being faced by the TSO and DSO today and what they are expected to be in the future with high and increasing levels of inverter-based generation.

The brochure introduces the challenges in chapters one and two. Chapter three is dedicated to data and information exchange between TSO and DSO, which are essential for efficient co-operation, while Chapter four presents six tools which will help the TSO and DSO co-ordinate their operations and meet the challenges posed to their future operational relationships and interactions. Chapter five discusses several issues and challenges not directly addressed by the brochure and concludes.
