Review of High Voltage failure risks under expanding supply chains: Case of Directed oil flow Transformers
Power transformers are one of the most critical components in the power system. Under unprecedented expansion of power networks across the world and consequent expansion of supply chains of power transformer industry, a careful look on technical risks of their full life cycle is imperative. This expansion needs rapid build-up of physical & human resource capacities in the industry by adding significant number of new engineers/ suppliers & subsuppliers. Transformer Industry does have mature quality control systems for engineering, supply-chain, manufacturing & on-site operations. But with such a rapid ramp up, longestablished controls on technical risks may become less effective and may need suitable reinforcements.
