Research on 110kV Torsion-Resistant Cable for Offshore Wind Power
As offshore wind power develops toward deeper waters, the installation costs of wind turbines continue to rise. To maintain cost-effectiveness, there is an urgent need to increase turbine capacity and improve cable transmission efficiency. A 110kV output voltage can eliminate the need for offshore booster platforms, thereby reducing the overall cost of offshore wind power. However, compared with existing 66kV cables, the 110kV high-voltage torsionresistant intelligent cable has a 20% larger outer diameter and more than 30% higher weight.
