Innovative Solutions for Enhancing the National Transmission Grid Seismic Resilience
The aim of the study is to reduce and mitigate the consequences to the electrical infrastructure, in the event of seismic events, with a particular focus on static equipment. The goal is to enhance the resilience of the national transmission grid by adopting a preventive approach, especially in the strategic and priority sector of electricity transmission. Italy is characterized by a medium to high seismic risk, distributed mainly along the Apennine chain and in southern regions. The national territory has experienced multiple destructive earthquakes: Irpinia (1980), L’Aquila
