Electricity market participation of heterogeneous new-type flexible resources: provincial market practice in Southern China

With the development of new-type power systems, heterogeneous flexibility resources such as pumped hydro storage stations (PHSSs), electrochemical storage stations (ESSs), and virtual power plants (VPPs) have experienced rapid growth. This paper focuses on the electricity market practice for integrating heterogeneous flexibility resources in Guangdong Province, which is a province in southern China and the country’s largest in economic scale.
