Battery Energy Storage Systems for Operational Resilience in Oil Refineries: The Case of Refinería Aconcagua, Chile
The energy transition and the consequent decarbonization of the Chilean electricity matrix have led to a progressive reduction in systemic inertia, increasing the vulnerability of industrial facilities to power quality disturbances. This paper presents the conceptual engineering development and techno-economic evaluation for the integration of a 5 MW / 15 MWh Battery
