Novel semiconducting coating with low leakage current and high temperature rise for anti-ice of insulator
Super-hydrophobic surfaces with potential ability of reducing ice accumulation lose efficacy under high humidity and low temperature. The normal semiconducting coating can improve the surface temperature of super-hydrophobic layer with Joule heat. This paper presents a new type of hybrid coating fabricated via self-assembly of a super-hydrophobic coating on the semi-conducting layer. The conductive polymer is used for fabrication of the semiconducting layer. Fabrication procedures, hydrophobic property, temperature rise of the hybrid coating are presented. Experimental results show that the hybrid coating has a water static contact angle greater than 150 degree.
