THE DETECTION OF FURFURAL DISSOLVED IN TRANSFORMER OIL USING SURFACE-ENHANCED RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY

The aging degree of the power transformer can be effectively diagnosed by the concentration of furfural dissolved in transformer oil. Raman spectroscopy can effectively detect the concentration of furfural dissolved in oil using a laser with one wavelength. It has a bright applied prospect without facing with the issue of aging and calibration compared to the traditional liquid chromatography technique. In this paper, the principle of Raman spectrum is briefly introduced, the experimental platform based on the confocal micro Raman system is built up, the detection method of the Raman spectroscopy of furfural dissolved in transformer oil is determined.
