As far as we know, the corona phenomena and its consequences are a very complicated problem. Since decades, the engineers are concerned with this question and the actual solutions are more or less adequate. Partial electrical discharges in air at the atmospheric pressure around overhead line conductors and under all the possible weather conditions are a real complex exercise.
