DDF Measurements on Stator Windings – Part 2 Analysis of Results
In the field of rotating electrical machines, the Dielectric Dissipation Factor (DDF) measurement is used for assessing the condition of an EIS and the consistency in the manufacturing quality of individual stator bars/coils and stator windings. The technical brochure provides the analysis of 4466 measurement sets with DDF results on 2330 stator windings. The records received were analysed in relation to possible DDF influence factors, such as rated voltage, core length, machine type, pole number, insulation system, binder system, year of manufacture and age factors. The spread in DDF measurement results of stator windings, the development of the results, as a function of age of the winding, was assessed.
