Superconducting cables. Impact on network structure and control.

A distillation of many discussions on the possible impacts of superconducting power cables in power transmission systems in the future. Only oxide superconductors are discussed. In order to clarify the possibility of using SC cables, the Task Force collected and discussed worldwide background data concerning underground (or undersea) cables and analyzed the trend of SC cable applications in future power grids.
