Custom power is a concept, based on the use of static controllers in the distribution system or in some instances, rotating machines, for the electric utilities to supply value-added power with the reliability and power quality requested by the customers. It includes consideration of all aspects of power supply that impact individual customers, including harmonics, inter-harmonics, voltage dips, overvoltages, range of steady state voltage and frequency variations and phase unbalance, in addition to the abover consideration fo reliability.
