Optimization of power transmission capability of underground cable systems using thermal monitoring

This report is aimed primarily at the user and reviews the technologies currently available. Results of a survey provide some indication regarding the current utilization of both cable temperature monitoring and dynamic cable rating systems. Some recommendations are proposed in connection with the application of these systems and identifies possible future development trends.
