Methodologies in power systems operations planning

This brochure reports the results of an enquiry conducted with some 30 utilities from all over the world, within the activities of WG 39.03. Its aim is to illustrate the methodologies adopted by power industry to set-up generation strategies or schedules, taking due account of the requirements for economy and security of operation.
