Update of service experience of HV underground and submarine cable systems
A survey has been carried out recently to collect and analyse data relating to the installed quantities of AC and DC underground and submarine cable systems, rated at 60 kV and above, and their service experience and performance. Failure and typical repair times are given, as well as trends in cable and accessory technology and changes in modes of installation.
