Basic principles to determine methane content in cross-linked solid extruded insulation of MV and HV cables
This TB is to review the current state of art on tests either developed by users, material suppliers and cable manufacturers, but only those performed to measure the methane content in XLPE insulation. An evaluation is done to determine the precision and reliability of these tests and recommendations are given on the choice of one or more tests.
