Planning Issues for newly industrialized and developing countries (Africa)

Increasing understanding of planning issues for newly industrialised and developing countries are important for expanding the electrification process in Africa. This TB aims to serve as an industry reference, presenting 54 African country's electricity industry structures, load/energy forecasting, planning criteria and approaches, and technical, finance and human resource issues. Continuing investigations are recommended into major interconnections, renewable energy's potential, and finance challenges in Africa.
