A proposed data model for a standardised power transformer nameplate, design and parameter dataset

As part of ongoing work with CIGRE WG A2.73, a task force focused on data templating was established. The task force aims to propose a comprehensive data model, framework and template for the digital capture, manipulation and sharing of transformer information. Currently, the digital exchange of transformer data lacks a standardized format, forcing stakeholders to manually migrate information from internal templates into unstructured Word or PDF documents. This lack of standardization has reached a strategic tipping point. Without a standardized protocol, data integrity is compromised by human error during manual transcription, potentially leading to flawed diagnostic models and undetected catastrophic failures.
