Real Case Study Assessment of Technical, Environmental, Social and Financial Benefits of Dry-Type Air Core Reactor Technology
This paper presents a case study of the world’s first 550 kV single-tower dry-type air-core shunt reactor, providing a multidisciplinary assessment of its technical, economic and environmental performance in a long-term financial model. Using a full life-cycle cost (LCC) framework, the study delivers an experience-based total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluation aimed at supporting utility investment decisions for high-voltage transmission applications.
