Interoperability Profile for Consumer and DER Energy Data in Colombia: Enabling DSO Operational Management
Colombia’s power system is undergoing a digital transformation that requires an interoperable data infrastructure to integrate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), enable energy communities, and support new operational models. Interoperability—defined as the ability of system components to exchange and use information—is essential for secure, reliable, and costefficient smart grid applications. Achieving technical, syntactic, and semantic interoperability ensures effective data exchange across diverse devices and communication protocols, reducing integration complexity.
