PERFILA Project

This paper describes the first results from the ongoing project PERFILA which is a collaborative project involving REE (the Spanish TSO and project leader) and all the distribution companies (ASEME, Endesa, EON, Hidro Cantábrico, Iberdrola and Unión Fenosa Distribución) aimig at improving the profiling system through the analysis of hourly consumption data from a panel of residential consumers that already have a smart meter. A more accurate profiling system could help to avoid inefficiencies in settlement process and in the use of ancillary services for balancing generation and demand. It is also expected an improvement on the energy losses due to the right assignation of the demanded energy to its period avoiding the movement between periods with different hourly price.
