Research and Deployment of IPv6+ and SDN Technologies for Smart Grid Data Networks
With the surge of new data services in smart grids, traditional MPLS-based power data networks encounter three challenges. First, the inability to monitor and visualize the SLA status of services in real time leads to passive fault responses, increasing the risk of service disruptions. Second, traditional shortest-path-first (SPF) algorithms cannot guarantee the SLA requirements of critical services. Third, the static bandwidth allocation mechanism fails to ensure performance of high-bandwidth applications such as intelligent inspection.
