Acceptable Functional Integration in HV substations

The TB discusses functional integration in substation protection and control systems, its advantages, disadvantages and impact on reliability, engineering, maintenance and testing. A paradigm shift requires development of new skills and organisational changes. One of the primary tasks was to prepare, perform, analyse and report an industry survey (utilities and manufacturers) on the acceptable level of Functional Integration.
