Lightning Striking Characteristics to Very High Structures
Observation results of striking characteristics and currents of lightning which hits very high structures such as UHV-and 500kV-class transmission lines in Japan and in China, isolated high structures in Europe, Asia, North and South America, are summarized. Based on the results, occurrence of upward lightning from high structures is discussed..
