Guide for the operation of self contained fluid filled cable systems

This TB resulted from concerns that although a large number of self contained fluid filled (SCFF) cable systems remain in service, there is a risk that the skills and knowledge will no longer be available to maintain fluid filled cables in a serviceable condition and also that suppliers will no longer support the technology. The brochure outlines some basic knowledge applied to SCFF cables. It reports on the findings of a questionnaire used to determine current suppliers and best practices for the operation and improved performance of SCFF cables.
