Verification of a new Developed Algorithm for the Evaluation of AC and DC Signals using the IEC Test Data Generator

The use of digital recorder for AC and DC voltage and current measurements are quite common and therefore requirements from IEC are needed. The IEC 61083 will content in future not only the requirements for digital recorders and software for impulse voltage and current measurements but also for AC and DC signal recording and analysis. Similar to the existing recommendation for impulse measurements a so called Test Data Generator (TDG) was developed in order to simulate the behavior of a digital recorder and to check the software used for the evaluation of the relevant parameters of AC and DC voltages and currents.
